Too much nonsense before you can accomplish finding a solution for the customer. In my opinion, it takes away from focusing on providing a bottom line good service for clients. The collaboration in this culture is almost to a default. The manager has a high school diploma, so ADP is very open-minded in recruiting candidates. Our goal: Fewer complaints, higher customer satisfaction, higher customer retention, improved word of mouth. You will find a lot of people with different levels of education the HRBP role (high school, bachelor's and masters). I felt her tactic is to keep her team close = down, because she is afraid that someone will outgrow her. Overall, I felt like I was in high school again, with someone who doesn't have what it takes to get the best out of all her team. I also found this new manager very hard to work with, in fact, I felt harassed and abused by her. You may feel additional stress/pressure as a result of that relationship. It's almost a conflict of interest, because HRBPs works closely with sales. ADP allows relationship with co-workers, and the first thing that I was made of aware of of this manager's relationship with a senior or management level employee in Sales. Unfortunately, I had a new manager TW who was very cut-throat.

You can burn out of this job rather quickly. Clients aren't happy, HR Business Partners socializing a lot (versus working), a lot of temps, the lack of training, poor and immature management, and turn around time to get tasks complete for clients was horrible. I was astonished by how poorly ADP is ran. You learn a lot from this job and it is a good place to start your career! It was weird to see because they were still hiring new people at that time instead of putting more focus on their current employees who had been at the company for a while.Īnyways, the culture is very "frat" and if you were in one you will probably like it. When covid hit, many people couldn't make quota for months and ended up getting laid off. It's really a game of favorites sometimes. This is not always the case and it was frustrating for me as someone who did amazing the first 6 months to see new people starting and getting handed better partners from the start.

Not all opps are created equal and you would think that if you prove yourself in the beginning you would be rewarded later with a better opportunity. This is because your manager is the one who assigns you your opportunity- either with banks, CPAs, clients or a combo. However, your success does somewhat depend on your manager. Lots of cold calling/ door knocking in the beginning which I have no problem with because that is kind of expected at the entry level in the beginning.
